1. Your responsibility as a creator
You may only upload content you created yourself, that you have an explicit licence to use, or that is otherwise legally permitted (e.g. in the public domain). Brand-collaboration deliverables generally belong to whoever the contract assigned them to — make sure the contract allows portfolio use before publishing.
2. Submitting a copyright takedown notice
If you believe content on a UGCFrame creator subdomain infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@ugcframe.com that includes:
- Your full legal name, address, phone, and email
- A specific description of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list)
- The exact URL(s) on UGCFrame where the allegedly infringing material appears
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
We follow the framework set out by the Malaysian Copyright Act 1987 (section 43H, takedown notice) and the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act 17 U.S.C. §512(c) for international compatibility. We review and respond within 14 days. Incomplete notices may be rejected.
3. Counter-notice (if your content was removed)
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to copyright@ugcframe.com that includes:
- Your full legal name, address, phone, and email
- Identification of the removed material and its original URL
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia (or your local jurisdiction, if outside Malaysia)
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will forward your counter-notice to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file suit within 10–14 business days, we may restore the content.
4. Repeat infringers
Accounts that receive multiple valid copyright complaints may be suspended or terminated under our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Bad-faith claims
Submitting a knowingly false takedown notice or counter-notice may result in liability for damages under applicable copyright law. Do not abuse this process.
6. Designated agent
UGCFrame's designated agent for copyright matters: copyright@ugcframe.com.
